World Food & Music Festival Returns Sept. 15 Through 17

DOWNTOWN DES MOINES, IOWA – The 13th Annual World Food & Music Festival will be held at Western Gateway Park in Downtown Des Moines on Friday, Sept. 15 through Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017. It is Greater Des Moines’ (DSM’s) premier food and music festival that celebrates cuisine and entertainment from around the world. The Festival will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday — one hour later than in previous years — and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. 

The World Food & Music Festival will contain 53 food vendors representing more than 25 countries and culinary regions including Italy, the Mediterranean, Thailand, Ecuador, Jamaica, the Netherlands, France, South Korea, the Philippines, Mexico, India, Morocco, Great Britain, Bosnia, El Salvador and more. New vendors in 2017 include 515 Pi, Aroydee Restaurant, Chamo Venezuelan Kitchen, Greek Flame Foods, HoQ Restaurant, Dalisay Pili Nuts, Stateside Crêpe Co., Thai Laos Food Khaidi and The Outside Scoop.

A variety of volunteer shifts are available throughout the weekend in several different areas as part of the Festival Volunteer Program, sponsored by Bankers Trust. To sign up for a volunteer shift, click here.
