Capital Crossroads Regional Vision Plan
Capital Crossroads is a bold vision that pushes Central Iowans to dream big, think long-term and work together. Regional in nature, it covers a 50-mile radius of the Iowa State Capitol. It builds on the region's strengths and provides a road map to capitalize on opportunities. The focus is on ideas and energy to ensure the region grows and prospers for current and future generations. Capital Crossroads has wrapped up the first five-year implementation process and has begun the next five-year process of Capital Crossroads 2.0. Capital Crossroads has been shaped by hundreds of active community leaders and thousands of local voices. Partners include:

Greater Des Moines Transit Funding Study
The Greater Des Moines Transit Funding Study is a 12-page report created by the Transit Future Work Group, in collaboration with Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART), to provide a long-term investment strategy for the region’s public transportation system. The Transit Future Work Group is managed by the Greater Des Moines Partnership and made up of business and community leaders. Learn more about The Greater Des Moines Transit Funding Study.
DART Forward 2035
The original Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) Forward 2035 Transit Services Plan, completed in 2011, was a comprehensive plan to meet the mobility needs of the growing Des Moines community. DART is currently completing a five-year extension of the plan to analyze ridership and service performance. Learn more about DART Forward 2035.
The Tomorrow Plan
The Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization's The Tomorrow Plan brings together residents, elected leaders, the professional community and civic groups in a conversation around how to best ensure the long-term health and vitality of the region specific to sustainability through 2050. The Tomorrow Plan presents an opportunity to coordinate anticipated change in the region. The Tomorrow Plan will result in land use, policy and implementation recommendations. Future Ready DSM
Future Ready DSM, powered by The Partnership, is a regional campaign with the goal that 75 percent of adults living in the region have post-secondary degrees, certificates or other credentials by 2025 that align with workforce needs. Learn more about Future Ready DSM.
Global DSM
The Partnership created Global DSM, including the Trade and Investment Strategy and International Talent Strategy, to further grow Des Moines' footprint as a global hub for talent and business. Learn more about Global DSM.
