The Partnership's Joseph Jones Named To National Political Leadership Board
Joseph Jones, Senior Vice President of Government and Public Policy at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, has been named to the Board of Trustees of the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL). ACYPL designs and implements international exchange activities for political leaders worldwide through programs that are designed to encourage civil discourse, active citizenship and engaged and sound public policy making. Each year the organization conducts exchange trips for emerging leaders from across the United States and the world. The ACYPL Board is comprised of 21 members from around the country.
Prior to being named a Board of Trustee member, Jones had been active in the organization, having participated in trips to India and Pakistan in 2007, Myanmar in 2013 and Israel, Palestinian Territories, and Jordan in 2014. He also serves as the Alumni State Leaders Council representative from Iowa.
“Joseph has shown his commitment to ACYPL in every way I would hope for an alumnus,” said ACYPL Board President Stacie Walters Fujii. “He has hosted international groups in Iowa, nominated great American delegates, and been so generous financially. I am thrilled to welcome him as a Trustee and I look forward to working with him in support of the Board’s goals.”
