Partnership Opens Registration for 2018 DMDC Trip

DMDC 2018

February 9, 2018

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Feb. 9, 2018) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership will host its 39th annual trip to Washington, D.C. from Wednesday, May 9 through Friday, May 11. DMDC is a unique opportunity for Greater Des Moines (DSM) business, community and civic leaders to promote regional and local priorities and economic development projects with one unified regional voice. Each year, The Partnership leads a group of nearly 200 leaders to the nation’s capital, representing one of the largest Chamber of Commerce fly-ins in the country. The trip provides attendees with an opportunity to interact with Congressional leaders, Iowa’s Congressional Delegation and their staff members and the Administration. Attendees also have the opportunity to network with fellow DSM leaders.

Trip options include charter air service, ground transportation, baggage fees, two nights at the Washington Court hotel on Capitol Hill, two luncheons, two breakfasts, one evening reception and one dinner sponsored by The Partnership’s 23 Affiliate Chambers of Commerce. The full trip package is $2,250 for Investors and Affiliate Chamber Members and $2,450 for nonmembers. Pricing options vary if attendees choose to fly separately or stay at an alternative hotel.

“Our region makes a powerful statement when we advocate with one voice in Washington, D.C. each year,” said Joe Murphy, Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy at The Partnership. “This is a great opportunity for us to meet with our federal elected officials and their staffs to discover how we can work together to advance growth in DSM.”
