Nicole Lorenson to present at First Fridays

GREATER DES MOINES, IA – (Jan. 26, 2018) – The Iowa Women’s Business Center and the Greater Des Moines Partnership will host their next First Friday Series event on Feb. 2 at The Iowa Center For Economic Success. The event will feature Nicole Lorenson, Owner and Creator of PRESERVATION.

The First Friday Series is an opportunity for savvy, successful business owners and entrepreneurs in Greater Des Moines (DSM) to share their stories. The First Friday Series gives a chance for attendees to catch some words of wisdom from women who have experienced entrepreneurship first-hand. Past speakers include Jennifer Bramble of Club B-FIT Fitness Studio, LLC, Katie Byers of HomeDitty, Rachel Eubank of Sticks, Tricia Rivas of Trixie’s Salon and Dream Catcher Foundation, Leng Vong Reiff of Akili Design and Marketing Services, Liz Lidgett of Adore Your Walls and Emma Walsmith of Tikly.

Sessions are free and open to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first Friday of each month. Networking is from 11:30 a.m. to Noon, with the speaker beginning at Noon. Locations rotate among The Iowa Center and the Greater Des Moines Partnership. The February event will be held at The Iowa Center for Economic Success located at 8345 University Blvd, Clive.

Lorenson is the Owner and Creator of PRESERVATION, a vintage and modern lifestyle shop and photo studio in DSM’s Historic East Village. She is a classically trained photographer with a timeless yet modern style, much like her shop. Nicole has been shooting in the fashion and portrait industry since 2005, specializing in weddings, newborns and everything in between. Hailing from a small town in Iowa, she has found DSM to be her home of choice not only for herself but also for her thriving business.
