NBC's Chuck Todd To Provide Keynote Address At Partnership's 36th Annual Washington, D.C. Trip
Chuck Todd, Political Director of NBC News, Moderator of Meet the Press, and author, will be a keynote speaker during the Partnership’s 36th annual advocacy trip to Washington, D.C. from May 10-12. Todd previously worked as the Chief White House correspondent for NBC News as well as the host of The Daily Rundown on MSNBC. Todd, a self-described political junkie, will be able to give trip attendees an in-depth look at the presidency.
“Having somebody with Chuck Todd’s knowledge of the inner-workings of the White House will provide for an intriguing keynote address in advance of the 2016 Iowa Caucuses,” said Joseph Jones, Senior Vice President, Government Relations and Public Policy for the Partnership. “We think that the business and community leaders who attend the trip will walk away with a better understanding of what traits and qualities they should consider in helping select the next president.”
The Partnership’s Washington, D.C. trip brings together nearly 200 area leaders to travel to the nation’s capital and advocate on issues important to Greater Des Moines. Attendees also have the opportunity to hear from Iowa’s Congressional Delegation as well as attend workshops on subjects important to this region, including housing, immigration, education, and the Cultivation Corridor. Registration for the trip is open, and those interested in attending are encouraged to sign up soon in order to guarantee a spot on the trip’s charter flight out of Des Moines International Airport. Registration, which includes the charter flight and a room at the Washington Court Hotel on Capitol Hill, is $2,250 for Partnership Affiliate Members and Investors and $2,450 for nonmembers.
