December 6, 2017

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Dec. 6, 2017) —The Greater Des Moines Partnership has announced the next presenter in its Top Five for Small Business series. Jason Kiesau, Leadership and Talent Development Manager, Aureon will teach on the “Top Five Ways to Use Employees’ Strengths.” The Top Five series features presentations to inform, educate and inspire business owners in Greater Des Moines (DSM). The events focus on a variety of timely topics that affect business owners and managers including legal, human resources, information technology, marketing, accounting and other pressing issues.

Kiesau’s presentation will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, 700 Locust St., Ste. 100.

Kiesau has been studying personal, professional and leadership development for most of his adult life. As the Leadership and Talent Development Manager for Aureon, he travels the country working with leaders in the areas of self-management, relationship building, strategic thinking and development of high-performing teams. Kiesau’s purpose is to inspire confidence in everyone he works with, and he is passionate about helping them pursue and achieve meaningful results.

Kiesau will share his expertise on team development, including the idea that team development and most important, team success, come down to three things. Team members must have:

  • Emotional Intelligence — A person’s awareness of and their ability to adapt their thoughts, emotions, actions and reactions to people and situations appropriately to achieve desired results.
  • Social Intelligence — The awareness and appreciation of others’ differences; as well the desire and commitment to understand not only what fuels others for top performance, but what creates stress in order to work together productively and achieve results.
  • Business Intelligence — Team members’ short and long-term goal-setting and it’s alignment with their organization’s purpose, values and vision.

The event is $15 to attend, which includes lunch or $10 to watch via simulcast. Click here to register.
