Executive Director of Des Moines Arts Festival® Stephen King elected to BRAVO Greater Des Moines Board of Directors
Stephen King, Executive Director of the award-winning Des Moines Arts Festival®, was recently elected to the Bravo Greater Des Moines Board of Directors. King has been with The Festival for 10 years, and will serve on Bravo's board as a Cultural Organizations Representative.
"I'm thrilled to be able to work with such a dynamic organization as Bravo Greater Des Moines," said Stephen King. "The missions of both Bravo and the Festival align well to make Des Moines a vibrant place to live. I'm excited to bring my enthusiasm for elevating the cultural economy to this board to help achieve long-term success for arts and culture in central Iowa."
The mission of Bravo Greater Des Moines is to provide reliable funding and support that strengthens arts, culture and heritage organizations serving Greater Des Moines (DSM). "Bravo's vision is for arts, culture and heritage organizations to be recognized and supported as vital contributors to the region's vibrant quality of life," said Sally Dix, Executive Director of Bravo. "Stephen's work to promote art from all genres at the Des Moines Arts Festival, and his experience as a collaborator and partner with many local arts organizations makes him an excellent addition to our Board of Directors.
