Discover The Spirit Of DSM: Greater Des Moines Partnership To Host Welcome To DSM USA Events

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (May 21, 2024) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership will host several events for the Welcome to DSM USA series this year.  

The Welcome to DSM USA series was created to celebrate new Greater Des Moines (DSM) residents who have chosen to build their career, future and lives in the DSM region. Attendees get the opportunity to meet and mingle with other new residents while learning about the community. New this year, The Partnership changed the structure from a one-night event to multiple event offerings to help provide the best experience possible for attendees.   

The series will feature three events: 

  • Saturday, June 15: Downtown Farmers Market from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the 3rd & Court Information Booth. 
  • Saturday, Aug. 24: World Food and Music Festival 
    • Time and date location to be shared once finalized.
  • TBD: Holiday Promenade  
    • Once Holiday Promenade event dates are announced, this date will be finalized. 

“We’re looking forward to hosting the Welcome to DSM USA event series and launching a new structure that offers attendees the opportunity to learn more about their new community and experience signature events in our region,” said Jenae Sikkink, Senior Vice President of Talent Development and Inclusive Strategies at The Partnership. “This event series will be a great way for new residents to meet others and discover more about their new home.”
