Brenton Skating Plaza

March 5, 2018

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (March 5, 2018) — Brenton Skating Plaza is scheduled to be open for skating through Saturday, March 10 in Downtown Des Moines (DSM), weather permitting. The venue is scheduled to host public skating from 5 to 10 p.m. each day. Downtown DSM residents and visitors are encouraged to embrace the final week and weekend by making plans to skate before the venue transforms into a spring, summer and fall event space.

“We encourage people to embrace the final days of winter and take advantage of the opportunity to skate this week and weekend,” said Robbin McClelland, Manager of Brenton Skating Plaza. “As the weather gets warmer, we are always sad to see the end of skating season but look forward to hosting events beginning in the spring.”

The Canopy at Brenton Skating Plaza will be installed in April and will be available to rent in May through Mid-October. The 160-foot Canopy serves as a beautiful location for outdoor events with a panoramic view of the city skyline, offering rain and sun protection.
