2017 Small Business Success Summit to Take Place in November

GREATER DES MOINES, IA – The Greater Des Moines Partnership is pleased to announce its inaugural Small Business Success Summit. The purpose of the summit is to inform, educate and inspire business owners in Greater Des Moines (DSM). The 2017 event, themed Smashing the Barriers, will be the premier business conference of 2017. The summit will host keynote speakers, workshops and breakout sessions on a variety of timely topics that affect business owners and managers. Attendees will also have an opportunity to network and establish strategic partnerships.

The Small Business Success Summit will take place on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the FFA Enrichment Center, 1055 S.W. Prairie Trail Parkway in Ankeny. Registration is $79 and includes keynotes, breakout sessions, access to resources, meals including breakfast and lunch and a closing reception with hors d’oeuvres. Register here.  

The inaugural summit will feature two keynote speakers. Chad Willett’s talk will be called “Smash the Box.” Smash the Box will reignite passions for business owners by allowing them to think different. When business owners generate ideas and come up with new solutions, they gain an advantage. 

Dr. Cindra Kamphoff will speak about “Beyond Grit: 5 Practices to Gain the High-Performance Edge.” Dr Kamphoff will teach on specific strategies the audience can use to manage their business, practical tools and strategies to deal with adversity, mistakes and the unexpected, how to increase positivity in their life, work and in their business, and strategies to decrease stress, stay in the present moment and increase ability to focus on what they can control.
