Local Business School: Master Your Small Business Marketing

The Greater Des Moines Partnership is set to host Local Business School: Master Your Small Business Marketing beginning in October. The program will consist of 12 sessions spread out over six weeks. The first two sessions take place on Oct. 2. The following sessions will be weekly on Mondays with two sessions each day. The last sessions will be held the week of Nov. 6.

Local Business School aims to teach attendees the ropes of today’s most effective marketing strategies that they can use to grow their local business in Greater Des Moines (DSM) and throughout Iowa. From building a strong social media strategy to creating a winning website, the program brings in subject matter experts from across the region to give attendees the best tools to leverage in 2023 and beyond. Local Business School was started by Emily Steele, Greater Des Moines (DSM)-based entrepreneur.   

The series is $295 for Greater Des Moines Partnership Investors and Affiliate Chamber Members and $355 for non-members.

  • Creating a Marketing Funnel 
  • Master Your Pitch 

Classes will take place on Mondays from 2 – 3:30 p.m. and 4 – 5:30 p.m. In addition to the virtual learning sessions, participants will also receive group coaching sessions and access to individual support during office hours. Coaching calls will be offered bi-weekly on Thursdays from 3 – 5 p.m. and office hours will be available on Fridays by request.
