Jekyll & Hyde by Ballet Des Moines

Friday, Oct. 27 – Sunday, Oct. 29 | Des Moines Temple Theater
Ballet Des Moines dancers will captivate the audience with a tale of good and evil, inspired by the classic novel from author Robert Louis Stevenson. This is a perfect pick for a night-on-the-town during the spookiest time of the year! Saturday, Oct. 28 | Des Moines Civic Center
Spidey fans won’t want to miss this unique showing! Featuring music from the soundtrack, a blend of symphonic orchestra music combines with a live DJ scratching hip-hop on stage. The show includes a screening of the film playing in tandem with live music on stage.

Saturdays, Oct. 28 | Historic Court District
The final weekend of the regular Farmers’ Market season is here, and you won’t want to miss it! Stroll the streets of Downtown DSM from 8 a.m. to Noon in your Halloween costume and pick up your fave seasonal items like pumpkins, farm-fresh apples, cozy clothing, fall and winter décor and lots more. Visit The Market like a pro by perusing the list of vendors on-deck this week. And be sure to mark your calendar for the Winter Farmers’ Market in a few weeks, Friday, Nov. 17 through Sunday, Nov. 19 at Hy-Vee Hall in Downtown DSM.

Beggar’s Night

Monday. Oct. 30 | Sherman Hill & Other Downtown Neighborhoods
The unique tradition continues! With a mixture of traditional trick-or-treating — including kiddos and families wearing their pick of costumes — beggars should have a joke ready to share for this sweet occasion, as well! New to DSM? Learn about what Beggar’s Night means to locals around the region, plus freshen up on several trick-or-treat safety tips as well.

Things are heating up on the ice in Downtown DSM! The Iowa Wild is gearing up for match-play against the Milwaukee Admirals this Thursday. And don’t miss additional home games coming up on Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 5 against the Texas Stars as the hockey season is in full swing.
