Capitol View Mural on Court Avenue

A mural of Downtown Des Moines 

The Capitol View Mural was designed and completed by artists Thomas Agran and Drew Etienne, an artist duo from Iowa City. 

The mural captures a sweeping panorama of Downtown Des Moines, depicting the skyline and surrounding landscape from the vantage point of the Iowa State Capitol dome. Designed to be both welcoming and visually striking, the mural adds to the vibrancy of the Historic Court District while complementing its surroundings, allowing events like the Downtown Farmers’ Market and the historic architecture of the city to remain front and center.
