The Downtown Winter Farmers’ Market in Downtown Des Moines (DSM) is a premiere shopping event for holiday food and gifts and serves as an extension of the Saturday Market, which runs from May through October. Typically held on two Saturdays, one in November and one in December, Winter Market attendees can stock up on all the holiday goodies needed to create beautiful gifts or prepare delicious meals for friends and family, as well as fresh-cut trees, poinsettias, holiday wreaths and ornaments.

Annually, shoppers find local items such as wine, flowers, jewelry and more from 150+ vendors that help with holiday prep and offer up the perfect Secret Santa gift. The Winter Market is also the perfect opportunity for attendees to grab a hot cocoa or warm apple cider to sip and hear the seasonal sounds of live musical acts play as they shop. Winter Market guests can also enjoyed activities such as ornament making and watching a local ice sculptor create a sculpture.
