Downtown DSM Tweet Week
Greater Des Moines (DSM) residents and visitors are in for a "tweet" treat! The Greater Des Moines Partnership is collaborating with local artists for Downtown DSM Tweet Week. Tweet Week is a fun scavenger hunt throughout some of your favorite Downtown DSM districts. The event will begin on June 19 and conclude on June 27, the last day of the Des Moines Arts Festival®.
This activation is part of The Partnership's Glad You're Here | Love Downtown DSM series to encourage residents to explore Downtown DSM as more people begin to participate in Downtown activities and return to the office this summer.
How to Participate
Each morning during Tweet Week, an artist will hide 10 birds in Downtown DSM and post photos on social media hinting to the locations. The Partnership will share the clues with interested participants on the @downtownDSMUSA on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Participants can follow Downtown DSM on all social platforms ahead of time to receive updated location hints.
Participants who find a bird can choose to take it home and keep it!
Downtown DSM residents, workers and visitors are encouraged to go on a scavenger hunt for the birds and support local restaurants and retailers as they are exploring Downtown DSM.
Please limit one bird per individual.
