Holiday Promenade 

The Historic East Village’s Holiday Promenade, presented by Tito's Cares, is back for five festive Fridays beginning November 21 through December 19, 2025, from 5 – 8 p.m. This free, family-friendly tradition in the heart of Downtown Des Moines is perfect for a family night out, a cozy date or a cheerful start to your weekend. 

Experience the magic of the season with twinkling lights, live music, carolers and free trolley rides through one of Des Moines’ most charming neighborhoods. Explore locally owned shops offering extended hours and special deals and enjoy street carolers, photo ops and weekly themed activities that make every visit unique, including the annual tree lighting ceremony.

A trolley, sponsored by Prairie Meadows, will take visitors between the Holiday Promenade in Historic East Village and restaurants and attractions throughout Downtown. The trolley will run from 5 – 9 p.m. on Friday evenings from Nov. 21 – Dec. 19.
