The Young Professionals Connection (YPC) Annual Gala is a month away, and we can’t wait to share this special evening with all our members and nonmembers! The Gala is the perfect opportunity to come together to reflect, connect and further engage with the Greater Des Moines (DSM) community.

This year, we’re honored to have mother-son duo Bridget Cravens-Neely, CEO of Big Brother’s Big Sisters of Central Iowa and Julian Neely, Director of United LEAGUE and LINC, as our keynote speakers.

Traditionally, this event has had between 75-300 young professionals, both members and nonmembers of YPC. The dress code is formal, and cocktails and appetizers will be available! The schedule of the event is below.

2023 Event Info

This year’s Gala will be at The Conservatory on Saturday, August 5 from 6 – 10 p.m., an event center in Downtown DSM’s Historic East Village. A special thanks to our generous sponsors: Bankers Trust, Confluence Brewing Company and The Conservatory.

  • 6 p.m. – Networking & Cocktail/Hors D'oevers
  • 7 p.m. –Dinner & Remarks
  • 8:30 p.m. – Dancing!

Ngozi Igbokwe

Ngozi Igbokwe is the President of the Young Professionals Connection (YPC) in Greater Des Moines (DSM). She is a human resources and talent development professional. Often known for her positive attitude and tireless energy, she uses it to encourage others to work hard and succeed. Ngozi is inspired by her family. In her free time, Ngozi likes to hang out with friends and family, travel and volunteer in the community.
