What Blue Gate Farm Offers at the Downtown Farmers' Market

Blue Gate Farm, based in Marion County, is a family operation run by Jill Beebout and Sean Skeehan. They are a Certified Naturally Grown farm selling chemical-free fruits and vegetables at the Downtown Farmers’ Market. They also sell free-range eggs, raw honey, jams, popcorn and yarn. New for the 2018 season is ramp salt and soon they will also have scape salt. They also sell wool dryer balls.

A Market favorite, the booth often has a steady stream of customers stopping by. Eggs, greens and asparagus are popular items. When asked what the most rewarding part of The Market is for Jill, she said that it is “the diversity of our audience and the interaction with customers. It gives us exposure to new customers outside of our local area.”

When you are a vendor there isn’t much time to visit other booths, but one thing Jill says they buy almost every week is fresh bread.
