Lost Lake Farm Cheeses

For two years, Ranae Dietzel and her husband have been a feature of the Downtown Farmers’ Market selling cheese made from milk provided by the 15 cows on their property, Lost Lake Farm.

From sharp aged cheeses to soft gooey camembert, they offer a variety of cheese but there’s one in particular that Dietzel says has a 200-year-old history and is a must try.

You can find Lost Lake Farm at the indoor Winter Market Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17 and again on Friday, Dec. 14 and Saturday, Dec. 15 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. each day indoors at Capital Square at 400 Locust St. in Downtown Des Moines (DSM).
