Cedar Ridge Winery & Distillery Hand Sanitizer Distributed in Downtown DSM

Free Hand Sanitizer

May 11, 2020

On Wednesday, May 6, the Downtown Farmers’ Market and the Iowa Cubs teamed up with the Cedar Ridge Winery & Distillery to give away free hand sanitizer at Principal Park in Downtown Des Moines (DSM).

Back in March, Cedar Ridge saw there was a great need for hand sanitizer across their community. They immediately switched their production from their award-winning wine and spirits to hand sanitizer. The Cedar Ridge team initially distributed exclusively at their Swisher Iowa location; however, after handing out 5,000 bottles, the team wanted to further support the community and expand their distribution efforts through drive-up events across Iowa. The event at Principal Park was their fourth distribution event. Over 300 community members participated in the May 6 drive-up.

Buy Local in Bulk

While the drive-up event has passed, Cedar Ridge offers bulk containers on their website. Order them here in the following quantities: 1 gallon, 1 quart, 5 gallons. You can support Cedar Ridge through the DSM Local Challenge as well by purchasing spirits or wine at your local retailer or gift cards and merchandise from their online store. Cedar Ridge is proud of the work they are doing, but they are eager to get back to wine and spirits.
