A Job Offer in DSM USA? It Was Too Good to Pass Up.
When I was offered a full-time position at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines following my summer internship, I was thrilled. The opportunities offered by both the bank and Greater Des Moines (DSM) were too good to pass up — even though a company in Dallas, Texas was also trying to recruit me.
Choosing DSM USA
It was a difficult decision, but I felt as though DSM and its employers really encourage young professionals. The city is small enough that you feel connected and there are so many executives from major financial institutions who are really involved in the growth of the community and the advancement of employees.
In DSM, I have balance. There are lots of great places to live Downtown, which means my commute boils down to about a two-minute walk to work. In addition, nightlife, restaurants and entertainment are very centralized and affordable, which is a positive.
DSM is definitely a fun place to live, work and play!
