Workforce and Talent Development

Workforce is a key component of economic development and business growth. The Partnership offers business support including talent development resources, professional development programs and inclusive talent strategies. Additionally, The Partnership can provide extensive labor analytics to help inform workforce strategies for businesses. Available analytics include: workforce availability, wage rates, education, skill level by occupation, industry demographics and job posting trends.

Property Identification

For businesses needing additional space or locations, the Partnership Team can do a confidential property search based on business’ criteria.

Research and Data Analysis

Data drives decision-making for businesses. The Partnership has two full-time researchers on staff and subscribes to several high-quality data and analytics sources. Businesses can tap The Partnership to help gather information for their specific needs or special projects. Examples of research requests that can be fulfilled include:

The Partnership is DSM’s economic development organization that serves 12 counties in central Iowa with a mission to drive economic growth and talent development to advance quality of life in DSM with one voice, one mission and as one region.  

Since 1999, The Partnership has assisted more than 1,000 businesses that created or retained 37,470 jobs.  

From 2020-2024, The Partnership’s work has generated more than 130 successful economic development projects, $6 billion in capital investment and 6,055 new or retained jobs.
