Wedding Show to be Held Under The Canopy at Brenton Skating Plaza
DOWNTOWN DES MOINES, IOWA – The Canopy at Brenton Skating Plaza will host the Brides Under The Canopy Wedding Show on Sunday, Oct. 1 at Brenton Skating Plaza.
Brides Under The Canopy will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature local wedding vendors, food tastings, live music, new trends and an opportunity to win door prizes. Vendors include Skeffington’s Formalwear, Bella Flora Event Design, Christiani’s VIP Catering & Events, Hy-Vee Catering and Floral, Molly’s Cupcakes, Pure Bridal and ADMIRIA Studio. The event is free and open to the public.
Brenton Skating Plaza is located at 520 Robert D. Ray Drive in the heart of Downtown Des Moines along the Principal Riverwalk. The Canopy is installed each spring to host outdoor events. The event space has room for 1,880 people standing and up to 500 people to be seated. It is handicap accessible with fully-operational restrooms and Wi-Fi.

About The Canopy at Brenton Skating Plaza
The Canopy at Brenton Skating Plaza is installed every May through mid-October. The Canopy is 160 feet tall and is available for outdoor event rental, including reunions, business events and concerts. The Canopy at Brenton Skating Plaza is located conveniently along The Principal Riverwalk. Brenton Skating Plaza is funded by Operation Downtown, City of Des Moines Parks and Recreation Department and the Riverfront Development Authority. Brenton Skating Plaza is managed in partnership with the Downtown Community Alliance, part of the Greater Des Moines Partnership.
