RFQ Open For Artists To Participate In 4th & Court Walking Path Project
GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Jan. 16, 2024) – Operation Downtown, in partnership with the Greater Des Moines Partnership, and Knapp Properties are collaborating to bring a creative and unique transformation of the walking path near the 4th and Court parking garage in Downtown Des Moines (DSM).
The goal of this project is to create an inviting walking path with a lighting display that provides additional illumination and vibrancy. The RFQ also encourages proposals to include additional art components that can help expand on the creative vision of the walking path.
This opportunity is open to artists at least 18 years of age. Emerging artists are encouraged to apply.
“We are excited for the opportunity to infuse art to creatively enhance the walking path in this Downtown DSM location,” said Amy Lego, Executive Director of Operation Downtown for The Partnership. “We are grateful to our partners and all property owners who look for ways to add vibrancy to their spaces. We look forward to finding the artist or artists who will be part of bringing this project to life.”
