Capital City Pride Speaker Series Welcomes Dutch Human Rights Specialist and Senior Associate to Shift Rutger Goethart to DSM
How should companies assess, prioritize and address human rights issues within the corporate world? What strategies and policies are integral to creating an organization that values and respects universal rights? These questions fuel Rutger Goethart’s work. The Dutch Human Rights Specialist and Senior Associate to Shift will be in Downtown Des Moines (DSM) on Thursday, May 11 for a free event through Capital City Pride’s speaker series.
Goethart’s vast work across the globe in human rights, international labor and government affairs has allowed him to guide companies in the development of ways to support and respect human rights in the workplace. At Shift, he works directly with companies, educational and financial institutions, governments and more to transform the ways in which business gets done through analysis, assessment and action.
Thursday, May 11 at 6 p.m. at the Temple Theater
During the speakers series, Goethart will touch on what human rights is and expectations of organizations to comply with human rights due diligence as well as environmental impact on people, LGBT+ rights and social sustainability. The event will also include a Q+A portion. Present a ticket at the theater to enter. Access a virtual ticket or stop by the Ticket Office at 1011 Locust St. in Downtown DSM.
