Join the Iowa DNR's Community Fishing Biologist Tyler Stubbs at the Des Moines Ikes on to find out where, how and what you can fish for in Des Moines using the DNR's Fish Local Community Fisheries Map (https://www.iowadnr.gov/fishing/fish-local)! Tyler will talk about hot spots, species available, presentation, and bait and tackle for a fun family outing right here in Des Moines! Urban anglers numbers are increasing faster than rural anglers. Not only are urban ponds and rivers in scope, but now the DNR is working to make Stormwater Retention Basins a new fishable resource! Admission to the program at 6:45 p.m. is FREE and open to the public! Doors open at 5:30, with Dinner available and service beginning at 6.
