Event Information

Description

Red Wanting Blue will be playing their first tour date since early spring at Wooly's on August 19th to celebrate the digital release of their new album, The Peppermint Sessions. Red Wanting Blue includes Scott Terry (vocals, tenor guitar, ukulele), Mark McCullough (bass, chapman stick, vocals), Greg Rahm (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Eric Hall (guitar, lap steel, vocals), and Dean Anshutz (drums and percussion). Leadman Scott Terry's husky sonorous voice leads listeners somewhere between rock, southern rock, heartland, and Americana. Founded as a college band at Ohio State University in 1996, the group has spent the past 24 years tirelessly touring the country, bringing their unforgettable, energetic act to about 200 stages a year. The band's cohesion is evident in their live performance and is a critical element to their longevity throughout the past 24 years. Hailed as "Midwestern Rock Heroes" by American Songwriter, Red Wanting Blue has spent most of their career operating outside the confines of the traditional music industry, earning their legions of lifelong fans through decades of relentless touring. Scott has a very animated stage presence when he sings; his intensity and emotion for the songs shine through in his expressive performance. Over the course of a dozen studio albums, Red Wanting Blue have brought their passionate live show to every city & town that would have them, blazing their own distinctive trail through America as they built up the kind of fanatically dedicated audiences normally reserved for arena acts. The band's spirited energy will be palpable during their show on Wednesday. Fans will be treated to a fantastic 75-minute set as Red Wanting Blue turns Wooly's into a rock party! Wooly's will provide a safe environment for fans, staff, and performers and has many safety precautions in place. For more information, please visit Wooly's website.
