Bubba and his trainers Renee and Pat White of Puppy Jake Foundation will join us Tuesday, Jan. 3, 6:45 p.m. at the Des Moines Izaak Walton League, 4343 George Flagg Parkway in Des Moines. They'll talk about Puppy Jake Foundation's mission dedicated to helping military veterans through the assistance of well bred, socialized and professionally trained service dogs. Puppy Jake is an Iowa organization supported by donations by people just like us, and they do not charge in any way for dogs given to veterans, and food and veterinary care is also provided for. It takes almost two years to train and socialize a service dog, so they very much need your support! The talk is free and Open to the Public, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and a Tri-Tip Steak dinner available for purchase at 6 p.m.
