Join us for a bright beginning to the new year on First Friday at Mainframe Studios on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, from 5-8 p.m.! This special evening features DUALITIES, a multimedia exhibition exploring the tension and dialogue between conceptual and material opposites. The show pairs works that create contrast, conversation, and unexpected connections — highlighting the power of opposites in shaping perception and possibility. In addition to the main exhibition, the 3rd Floor Gallery will showcase new works by Dualities curators Geoffrey Paulline and Lauren Pesta. Guests can also enjoy open studios throughout the building, delicious food and beverages, live music by Ducharme Jones and an interactive art activity by Siricasso Garcia. Open Studios: Mainframe is home to 180 artist studios, many of which are open during First Friday. Visitors are invited to explore creative spaces across a wide range of disciplines, from painting and sculpture to fiber and mixed media, offering a behind-the-scenes look at artistic process and a chance to connect directly with the makers. As always, First Friday events are family-friendly, free, and open to the public. With expanded overflow parking and a complimentary shuttle service, getting here is a breeze.
