Description
The actress Donna Reed was born in Denison a century ago — on Jan. 21, 1921. Join her daughter, Mary Owen, and Donna Reed Foundation board member Kurt Lee as they share memories and photos of Reed's early days in Iowa, her Oscar-winning career, and her enduring impact on a new generation of performing artists. Their online presentation, moderated by State Curator Leo Landis, is part of the "Iowa History 101" series offered by the State Historical Society of Iowa to commemorate Iowa's 175th year of statehood. The event is free, but registration is required.
