Join Sara Egge, Claude D. Pottinger Professor of History at Centre College, as she discusses some of the landmark scholarship about gender in Iowa's history. We'll examine several topics, including how gender shaped interactions among diverse peoples in Iowa's earliest years, how gender was central to life in rural small towns, and how activism for causes like temperance, woman suffrage, and civil rights emerged.
