Event Information

Description

With summer in full swing, now is the time to celebrate the season and create beautiful Eco-Printed fabrics! Eco Printing is a natural dyeing technique that uses leaves, flowers and other plant materials to create patterns and colors on fabric or paper. The process involves bundling plant materials and fabric together, then steaming or boiling the bundle to transfer the color and patterns from the plants to the fabric. In this creative class you will get to dye your own beautiful textiles in a palette of natural colors and shapes to create your own of a kind textile. Participants receive one silk scarf and one flour sack towel to work with and are encouraged to bring one item of their own to dye as well.  Registration required. Ages 12+.
