Celebrate Indie Bookstore Day 2026 at Storyhouse Bookpub this weekend, Friday, April 24 - Sunday, April 26, 2026! We've added an extra day for passport stamping this year!

On Friday, expect:

• IBD Central Iowa passport stamping begins!
• Cookie Crawl | 4-6 p.m. 🍪 enjoy a complimentary cookie while collecting your stamp 
• ‘If You Give a Mouse a Cookie’ family friendly Storytime | 4:30 p.m. 

Saturday Shenanigans:

• Collect all 10 stamps on the Central Iowa Indie Bookstore Day Passport
• Snag new Storyhouse merch
• Sidewalk sale (weather permitting!)
• Sip and shop coffee + lemonade, thanks Daisy Chain!
• Grown-Up Storytime & Ice Cream Social in support of @iowasafeschools | 6-8 p.m. An evening to gather local authors, leaders and readers to rejoice in our freedom to read. Portions of shirt/book sales go to Iowa Safe Schools. $5 ticket covers drinks and ice cream.

Make your plan to complete an IBD Central Iowa Passport! Passport stamping begins Friday, April 24, and ends Sunday, April 26. Make a purchase (no min.) at all 10 participating bookstores to collect a stamp. Turn your passport in at the last store you visit to be entered to win a $150 or $50 gift card to that store! 2 winners per store!
