Eat Greater Des Moines aims to establish a food system that satisfies the immediate needs of our community while also developing a healthier system for the future. They achieve this managing a volunteer network who collect surplus food from local businesses, thereby reducing food waste, and filling community fridges where the food is made safely available to all. At the event you'll be able to join EGDM's volunteer network through their convenient mobile app, and by doing so you'll be entered into a raffle for a chance to win great prizes and games! Plus, you'll be able enjoy a large collection of family-friendly board games hosted by The Dealt Hand while munching on free snacks and appetizers sourced from rescued food. Let's make a difference in our community together!
