George Stout was on a mission — to protect and document damages to European cultural monuments during World War II. The leader of the Monuments Men, Stout, an art student from Winterset, Iowa, helped save over 5 million pieces of art stolen and plundered by the Nazis. Learn more about Stout's courageous career through a screening of Kevin Kelley's documentary, "Stout Hearted: George Stout and the Guardians of Art," at the State Historical Museum of Iowa.
