Des Moines' original Oktoberfest returns for the 16th consecutive year outside of Hessen Haus-Des Moines' only German restaurant and bier hall-and will take over 4th Street south of Court Avenue and Market Street between 3rd and 4th Streets (the Festival Plaza of the Science Center of Iowa) with live music, authentic food, tented beer gardens, contests, ample seating and more. Once again, Friday will showcase our Bier Maiden contest for the frauleins and Saturday will host the Stein Holding competition for both men and women.

Pricing Information

$10 per day; includes commemorative pint glass. Guests returning on Saturday with their wristbands and glass get in for $5. Single tickets are $7 in advance at all area Hy-Vee Stores without fees or via www.tikly.co. All beers (even German imports!) and cocktails are just $5.
