Go inside the music. Join Dr. Eric McIntyre of Grinnell College for an informal and enjoyable online class that discusses various topics in Classical Music. This class is designed for anyone who enjoys music - from long-time Symphony-goers to those interested in attending their first concert. In this class, we'll take a deep dive into the music featured in our November Live from the Temple concert, Copland & Vivaldi. The majesty of Handel and Copland's idyllic, inspiring Appalachian Spring bookend a program that features Pulitzer Prize-winning African-American composer George Walker's serene Lyric for Strings along with Vivaldi's sparkling, brilliant Concerto for Two Trumpets.
