Join Dr. Eric McIntyre of Grinnell College for an informal and enjoyable online class that discusses various topics in Classical Music. This class is designed for anyone who enjoys music - from long-time Symphony-goers to those interested in attending their first concert.
In this class, we'll take a deep dive into the music featured in our November Live from the Temple concert, Copland & Vivaldi. The majesty of Handel and Copland's idyllic, inspiring Appalachian Spring bookend a program that features Pulitzer Prize-winning African-American composer George Walker's serene Lyric for Strings along with Vivaldi's sparkling, brilliant Concerto for Two Trumpets.
