Description

The Des Moines Choral Society returns for their beloved annual program, Christmas with the Choral Society. This year’s performance will feature the grandeur of Bach's Jauchzet, frohlocket, the intimacy of the O Magnum Mysterium text, the jubilation of Gloria in excelsis Deo, and Vaughan Williams' masterful plea for peace, Dona nobis pacem. Orchestral arrangements of beloved carols, including Joy to the World and The First Noel, along with fresh and creative new works by current composers round out this festive performance.

Please join us! Tickets are available online at dmchoral.org or at the door for the Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 performance. For those interested in learning a little more about the performance, plan to attend a Pre-Concert Conversation beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Ambrose Parish Center. This conversation will end in time for you to enter the church prior to the house opening at 7 p.m. Also, please consider bringing a non-perishable food item to be donated to a local food pantry.
