Description

Major Blues and the Mugshots got their start like all true blues bands should - on the front porch! They are a Des Moines based blues band and stay 100% true to the blues at their shows! They cover what many feel are the "Best of the Blues". They do this in their own style so you are sure to feel the emotion and passion in the music! It is their version of "Keeping the Blues Alive"! Normally a four piece Chicago style blues band, they will be performing as part of the Botanical Blues series as a skinned down line up of the band, offering a more acoustic performance of well-known blues standards. All concerts are scheduled from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. and will be held live and in person in the conservatory. Trellis Café will be open for food and beverages during the concerts. Tickets are sold at the door and are first come, first served. Botanical Blues is presented by AARP Iowa.
