The Des Moines Choral Society presents A Celebration in Song, a collaborative concert featuring two renowned collegiate guest ensembles: the Iowa State Singers and the Wartburg Choir. The Des Moines Choral Society and each guest ensemble will offer its own set of selections, highlighting varied musical styles, languages and traditions that span sacred and secular works. The performance will feature modern pieces by American composers such as Marques Garrett, Shawn Kirchner and Elaine Hagenberg, as well as works by global composers such as Karlsons (Latvia), Miškinis (Lithuania), Gyöngyösi (Hungary), and more. The evening will conclude with a combined performance by all three choirs, and it will truly be a “Celebration in Song!” Tickets are available online at dmchoral.org or at the door at St. Ambrose Cathedral for the Saturday, February 7, 2026 performance. Doors open at 7 p.m.
