FOODIES UNITE! Join us at the Des Moines Social Club's fourth annual Food Truck Throw Down for a kick-off to summer and celebration of local food and music fanfare. $5 admission gives attendees access to 15+ food trucks, live music, Iowa Beverage beer tents, art activities, and more. In its fourth year, the Food Truck Throw Down has become a staple Des Moines festival and is expected to draw 5,000 people from downtown and beyond. It's a bustling day in the heart of downtown Des Moines; attendees can start their day at the Downtown Farmers' Market in the morning and continue their fun downtown in the afternoon. WHEN: Saturday, May 12, 11AM-8PM (good news - we've got your lunch AND dinner covered!) WHERE: 7th-9th streets on Cherry Street + the Des Moines Social Club Courtyard TICKETS: $5 admission at event entrance (ages 10 and under free)
