Enjoy an interactive science demonstration in the Kemin Plant Sciences Lab perfect for youth and family visitors. Up Close and Personal with Bees! with Paulina Mena, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biology at Central College During this session you will have the opportunity to observe pinned bee specimens and other insects from Iowa and Costa Rica under the microscope. The focus will be to do close observations of the specialized structures they have to collect pollen, groom themselves, make their nests, eat, etc. Keep a look out for future Science Saturdays.
