YPC Celebrates 15 Years of Success

In celebration of the Young Professionals Connection’s (YPC) 15-year anniversary, young professionals and business leaders from around Central Iowa will join together for a night of reflecting, networking and preparing for future success. YPC, an initiative of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, promotes an environment that attracts and retains your professionals in Greater Des Moines.

The inaugural YPC Gala will be held Thursday, Dec. 3 from 6-10 p.m. at Des Moines Golf and Country Club.

The formal gala will include a networking hour, three-course dinner, YPC review and preview, keynote presentation from Kristi Knous, President of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, and live music from The Maytags.

In the past 15 years, YPC has formed a dynamic network of leaders committed to shaping Greater Des Moines into a fun place to live, work and play. In turn, the organization has increased retention rates of young professionals in the Des Moines community. It has also helped strengthen relationships between young professionals, business leaders and community members.

“This event isn’t only a great opportunity to celebrate what YPC has done in the past 15 years,” said Cory W. Sharp, YPC President-Elect. “It is an opportunity to look to the future and poise the organization and Greater Des Moines community for future success.”
