The Greater Des Moines Partnership To Host Public Policy Issue Forum On Workforce Readiness

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (March 30, 2023) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership will hold a series of public policy forums throughout 2023 to explore issues impacting Greater Des Moines (DSM). Each forum will include a conversation of experts who will provide insights surrounding the policy implications of that priority issue. The next forum is on the topic of Workforce Readiness on Thursday, April 20 from Noon – 1 p.m.

The Public Policy Issue Forum on Workforce Readiness will feature a panel discussion on work-based learning options for students, policies to advance employment opportunities for untapped talent and other strategies to recruit and retain talent. Confirmed panelists include:

  • Teri Vos, WorkSMART Connector 
  • Mark Wiederspan, Iowa College Aid 
  • Jenae Sikkink, Greater Des Moines Partnership, Moderator 

Registration for this event is free. The event will take place in a hybrid format. Registrants can attend in person at The Partnership’s office at 700 Locust St. in Downtown DSM, or receive a livestream link upon registration. Click here to register.
