Register This Week For The 2019 Small Business Success Summit
GREATER DES MOINES, IA (October 28, 2019) – Registration for the 2019 Small Business Success Summit is open through this Friday, Nov. 1. The Summit will feature presentations by three keynote speakers from industry leaders that will inform and inspire, 18 breakout sessions focused on topics ranging from marketing, human resources, growing sales and customer service, and 28 resource partners. The event will take place on Friday, Nov. 8 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the FFA Enrichment Center at Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny.
Keynote speakers for the event include:
- Whitney Cox, Marketing Manager at Google, who will speak on “An Introduction to Machine Learning for Businesses.” A total of 63% of organizations indicate they are making investments in automation and machine learning. But what does that mean for businesses? Cox will focus on explaining the "what" and the "why," leaving attendees to craft the "how" machine learning can meet the needs of their business.
- Paul Long, Creator of “Fundamism” and a motivational speaker, who will present on “The Sincerity in Service.” Through Long’s concept of Fundamism, attendees will learn principles that aid in listening and connecting with others while stressing the importance of sincerity in every interaction. Learn how to enhance customer interactions while revealing additional opportunity to make a difference in all walks of life.
- Holly Hoffman, author and motivational speaker, will present “Never Give Up — The Survivor Way.” Hoffman will share her experience of being on the reality television show “Survivor,” and will encourage others to think about six simple words to take on any challenge with which they are faced.
Breakout sessions include local business leaders and subject matter experts presenting on a variety of topics that will feature immediate takeaways attendees can use to help their small business grow.
Registration for the summit is $79 for Partnership Investors and Members and $99 for nonmembers. Tables with eight guests can be purchased for $550, and students can register for $50.
