Greater Des Moines Partnership Honored For Innovation & Impact

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Aug. 21, 2025) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership has been recognized with three 2025 Excellence in Economic Development Awards from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). These awards honor outstanding contributions to and expertise in the field of economic development, highlighting organizations that are creating lasting impact in their communities. 

The Partnership earned the following honors: 

  • Gold Winner: Spark DSM Business Incubator (Category: Entrepreneurial & Small Business Development) Empowering entrepreneurs by transforming early-stage ideas into sustainable businesses and equipping small businesses with tools to grow, expand their customer base and reach milestones while creating lasting economic impact across the region. 

  • Silver Winner: Annual Report Video & PDF (Category: Annual Report) Elevating traditional reporting into a dynamic, shareable story of Greater Des Moines’ growth by combining powerful visuals with data-driven storytelling to showcase momentum, energize stakeholders and celebrate the region’s progress. 

  • Silver Winner: Welcome to DSM Guide (Category: Magazine & Newsletter) A stand out, high-quality print piece fostering connection and belonging in a digital-first world, this versatile newcomer’s tool highlights the region’s opportunities in an approachable way, reinforcing Greater Des Moines’ image as vibrant and welcoming.
