Shop Small: Adel
Throughout the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, the Greater Des Moines Partnership has continued to highlight the importance of shopping local and the effect it can have on our region and state. As the holiday season approaches, now is the time to consider those small businesses within our Greater Des Moines (DSM) community.
Over the next few weeks, we will highlight various cities within the region, as well as ways to shop locally and support their businesses. First up, the city of Adel, Iowa. Connect virtually at the Hometown Holiday Celebration Home Tour in 2020 and by masking up to visit some of the city’s retail shops.
Hometown Holiday Celebration: 2020 Holiday Home Tour
The Hometown Holiday Celebration: Holiday Home Tour will take place virtually from 4-5 p.m. on Sunday, December 6. See a cozy cabin featuring rustic old-time Christmas décor, as well as a traditional home where the family gathers around the kitchen island to decorate cookies and a historic home built in 1865 that features a 9.5-foot Christmas tree decorated with 2,400 white lights and 1,000 ornaments. Purchase tickets to the tour here.
