What inspired you to first get involved with your Chamber?

I was inspired by being new in my role at NuCara Pharmacy in Pleasant Hill and wanting to be connected. I then became passionate about helping our business Members be successful, as well as getting involved in the community, and worked my way into leadership at the Chamber.

What’s a signature offering of your Chamber?

We are known best for our signature Chill on the Hill concert series. This year we will be celebrating 10 years of the series and anticipate our biggest year yet! Presented by Scooter's Coffee, it’s Pleasant Hill's premier event for live music, drinks, food trucks and socializing. The first event on June 1 will be headlined by Plastic Apartment.

What is your Chamber’s biggest accomplishment in the past 12 months?

We have had many accomplishments this past year including a brand new semi-annual community and business guide as well as receiving a grant to upgrade and redesign our website. We are continually trying to provide as many useful resources as possible for our members and community.

Any initiative or project that you are looking forward to in 2018?

We’re really looking forward to the Second Annual Trick or Treat Around the Lake. We first hosted this event last year and discovered it not only benefited the residents who took part but also local businesses who had an opportunity to reach the 1,000 attendees with their messaging.

What upcoming events should people watch for?

Chill on the Hill — Every Friday in June and July 6
Family FunFest and Parade — July 21
