Erik DeLuca: The DSM Intern Connection program opened my eyes to Des Moines’ vibrant professional community. The program showcased how young professionals can thrive here, from networking events to community service projects. The highlight was connecting with fellow interns who shared similar ambitions but brought diverse perspectives from different industries.

The city offered countless ways to connect, from exploring the local food scene and farmers’ markets to joining recreational sports leagues and attending summer festivals. The accessibility of outdoor activities, arts and culture helped create a well-rounded summer experience.
